Ready Rockaway is a group of trained Emergency Preparedness professionals  and community leaders who understanding the need to plan and galvanize the community for emergencies. We come together to study our hazard possibilities unique to Rockaway Peninsula and calculate our resources already in the community and those having to come from outside the community.We pledge to work together to educate, uplift and empower our community on what to do in various kinds of emergencies. We will bring the resources we need from outside the community to assist us so that we can best assist the Rockaway Peninsula.

HEALTH CARE COALITION

 Ready Rockaway are a multifaceted group, we come as  Healthcare Coalition as well as a community outreach group. We work with the department of health to insure that our Nursing Homes and the Adult Home facilities on the Peninsula are well prepared should a diaster strike the Rockaway Peninsula.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION CENTER

 With future funding we are in the process of establishing a HECC. With this HECC it will enable Ready Rockaway to reach out to the Office of Emergency Management and all local Nursing and Adult Homes, should evacuation be deemed necessary by the Department of Health.
