Problem: How does one get informed of an Emergency when the TV, radio is off or when people are asleep?

Solution:

To Invent a battery operated device similar to a smoke detector that will sound an Audio /visual alarm indicating that the emergency broadcast system has been activated. This alarm will prompt citizens to tune into the radio or TV for further instructions.

A special Frequency can be issued by the FCC to local, State and federal governments that is restricted to activating this simple alarm.

A similar system should also be in place to use existing cellphones to sound alarms followed by specific messages. A website can be established for citizens to sign up and participate in the notification list.
